My research interests lie in the intersection of Computer Architecture, Hardware Security, and RTL Design. I am fortunate to be a part of Dr. Ashish Venkat's awesome research group at UVA. I am currently building a security verification infrastructure that employs techniques from computer architecture and software verification to address the shortcomings in existing verification solutions.
Recently, I have been trying to learn a thing or two about molecular dynamics simulation accelerators and quantum computers.
I am fascinated by the impact the computer architecture community has had on the modern world and I am proud to be a part of it. Nonetheless, I am perenially curious and I love learning about the ideas propelling humanity forward. Feel free to reach out via email to discuss mutual interests.
Teaching at the University of Virginia:
Miscellaneous:
Before starting my Ph.D. in the US, I worked as a CPU Verification Engineer at Incore Semiconductors building a Python based functional verification infrastructure, UATG, with Purushothaman. I also interned as a RTL Design Engineer at Incore before joining them as a full time employee. I designed the initial version of their Packed SIMD accelerator which was also my bachelor's degree project.
I had my first research experience when I worked with Dr. Satyajit Das at IIT Palakkad on Cryptography Extensions for the RISC-V ISA.
This section contains reports from my course projects. These are not being actively worked on and may be in disrepair.
I am passionate about mentoring and building student communities.
I serve on the Computer Architecture Student Association
steering committee and help maintain their social channels. If you are a
undergrad or graduate who is not already a part of CASA, check us out.
Moreover, CASA welcomes ideas to make the computer architecture community
better. If you have any ideas reach out to us.
I work with undergraduate students from my undergraduate college helping them
figure out the grad school application process. If you think I can be
helpful, please send me an email.
When I am not recovering from an injury, you can find me running around Charlottesville. When I am not running or working, you will find me reading. I also listen to a lot of music and I am a fan of Daft Punk's works.
I love learning new languages and cultures. If you speak a language I don't already speak, I will probably ask you to teach me a few words in your language.
Language | Alenkruth | Krishnan Murali |
Tamil | அலன்கிருத் | கிருஷ்ணன் முரளி |
Hindi | अलंकृत | कृष्णन मुरली |
1. I would like to thank Dr. Lindsey Kuper for letting me use her website as a template to build mine. You can take a look at her awesome research on her website.
2. The idea to display my names in the languages I speak is from Dr. Karthik Abinav Sankararaman's website. You can find it here.
